Hello from Sunny Seattle, WA

Last weekend was so hot I didn’t even know what to do with myself. Having been born and raised in Seattle, my body is entirely unaccustomed to extremes in temperature, whether cold or hot. And last weekend was murderously hot.

As the ominously red weather map shows, on Saturday at 4:05 PM the temperature was at 93 degrees Farenheit - and it actually didn’t really cool off at all. It was mindblowing how hot it was, actually. And humid! We don’t really have muggy heat here in Seattle, strangely enough. We generally have temperate weather just about year-round.

Moving from the old apartment to the new one in that hellish weather was like a nightmare - and the fact that our new place has a west-facing glass wall that turns the place into an OVEN as soon as the sun starts going down didn’t help! With the air outside so hot, we couldn’t really run fans to cool off, either, so take my word, Erik and I are very happy with the change in the weather.

    hey there.

heard you had been in the hospital and found out some things. Hope you are doing better, and wish the two of you well. I understand the heat. We got to 95 in lynden, and topped one day… I think it was Wed. but i can’t remember from the heat, at 97 degrees at the shop i work in. that was the outside temp of course, so you can understand the special kind of hell i had, prolly not to different than your apt, because I work inside a fairly well insulated sheet metal building, with fiberglass. they gave us an extra break when the production manager walked in and checked the temp in the annex and it was 107. I bout died. Hope you are well, and as you prolly havn’t the foggiest who i am, I remember you and erik from the manor in bellingham. I was one of the few freakishly tall ones. My wife Chris is 5′3″ish and blonde or strawberry blonde depending on the dye. We now have 2 kids… yebus, we are growing up finaly and preping the next set of freaks… ‘p

    All the best,

    David
